Dear Jennifer, As is evident from simply viewing our photos, we are not a typical hotel. Our rates are exceptionally affordable which is, in part, thanks to our simple self check in process. This does require guests to read the information they're provided with and I understand that throughout your stay was a challenge for you. Prior to booking, again upon confirmation and then again in your welcome/keycode email, guests are informed of the check in time of 4pm. You arrived at 3:30pm is instant and angry that you didn't have a keycode so couldn't get into your room. In actuality, you HAD received your key code, you just hadn't read your welcome email AND it was 3:30 and your code was not active yet. Also prior to booking and again upon confirmation you were informed that there is no front desk at this property and your keycode would be sent via email on your day of arrival. You know all of this because I sent you screenshots directly from the booking page you used where this information is clearly stated. Your keycode was clearly stated in your Welcome email sent at 5am, right after the words "Your keycode is" . You had been informed at booking that we do not have a front desk AND that you would receive the info needed to gain access on the morning of arrival. Again, I sent you screenshots of this directly from your booking website so you already know this. Each one of our rooms is unique. You were assigned the specific room that YOU chose and reserved. Prior to booking , your booking agency site states that we do not have an elevator and that guests can contact us if they have accessibility needs. You did not contact us requesting we change the room you reserved. You are already aware of this because I also sent you screenshots of this directly from your agency website. We are disappointed that reading our clearly stated self check in process and policies was a challenge for you. It is important to read information prior to and after booking at any property, but especially at a unique location like ours. Hopefully you'll remember that on future trips.

Dear Charles,We take the safety and respect of our staff and guests very seriously.Your account of this situation is not accurate. an email was sent to you via your booking agency at 4:01am on the day of your arrival. On your day of check-in, you texted our staff at 4:35pm, 35 minutes after check in began and our staff replied in less than one minute at 4:36. The language you used in your communication with the staff member trying to assist you was obscene and violated our code of conduct. You were denied entrance, asked to contact your booking agency and also asked to refrain from further contact with us of any kind. due to your repeated attempts to contact us after this, your phone number was eventually blocked. Upon further review, it was also deemed to be unacceptable by our manager on duty and that you posed a possible threat to others.

Being a unique, modern B&B, we are careful to accurately list the details of our property. We do include the facts that our breakfast is "help yourself" and that we do not have a front desk. we are so glad you enjoyed our location and on your next visit we hope you'll try our protein choices include Special K with berries, milk, various yogurt choices and a variety of Natures Bakery Bars. As described prior to booking , we provide a help yourself breakfast and during your stay our offerings included multiple flavors of yogurt, chocolate chip, banana nut and blueberry mini muffins, Special K with berries, organic vanilla almond granola, honey nut cherrios and Frosted Flakes. Also multiple oatmeal flavors as well as Blueberry, Fig and raspberry Natures Bakery bars. All of those are displayed and easily accessible. I'm so sorry you missed those items! Our Inn location is located IN downtown Greenville and 2 blocks/ less than a 3 minute walk to Main Street and the thriving West End. Most of our guests utilize a map app to navigate their way around. Downtown Greeenville encompasses a 10 block area, which includes the West End, and we are definitely located within downtown. Again, we're sorry you missed the easy walk to Main Street and will consider the possibility of providing maps to our future guests
