“This is the small hotel that they use the exterior for the Netflix drama series “ Hot Spot”. The interior is much more spacious than what we see in the TV show. It is located in the remote area and it’s inconvenient for shopping, etc. However, it is an advantage for people who want to avoid the hassle of overtourism in the Mt. Fuji area. “We had a lovely experience staying in Sakuya hotel. The owners were very kind and helpful, offered us shuttle van to go to town. Offered us private onsen which was very relaxing. Rooms were futon bed with a view of Mt Fuji, breakfast was so yum. Would definitely come next time. ”
