“The hotel was very clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Food in the area was excellent. It was the perfect stay.”

“The front of the hotel was well kept, howevere, I was assigned a room at the back of the hotel. The room had an odor, there were no amenities to sit outside. It felt unsafe. I didn’t stay. I checked out and drove home, which was 2 plus hours that night. Terrible experience!!!”

“From lower room you could hear every footstep upstairs until 1 or 2 in the morning. Bugs in the bathroom. Furnishings were worn and old. The pictures in their ad are not reality!”

“This is an inexpensive hotel. The room was clean, roomy, functional, and well maintained. It is just off I95 and was very convenient for me. The exterior is a bit depressing. The owner?manager is a bit of a curmudgeon and could use a refit on interacting with guests. His wife, however, is very nice.”

“The Lamplighter is the place I always stay at when I am in this section of Connecticut. It has Clean Rooms, Comfortable Beds, Good Working Air-conditioning, plenty of Hot Water for the Shower, a Low Price, Friendly Staff, Microwaves and Refrigerators, close to the Highway, walking distance to a Great Restaurant ( the Log Cabin). I'm already looking forward to my Return.”
