“If your trying to save some money, there aren't maybe places that put on as good a show. The hotel is classicly dated. Tucked away just off some forever road construction in Stroudsburg PA. Minutes from main street (Gamers Edge )and the Pocono Cinema and Cultural Center (Great ice Cream and movie treats) The area has great diners within 15min but for the most part you'll have to hit main street for any night life as Stroudsburg is on Small town time. “This was about the 4th or 5th time my husband and I have stayed here. It's a hidden gem. Every single time we go it is such a pleasant experience. We've had a different room each time and I tell you when you open the door to your room, you feel like you're stepping into a small resort. The rooms are clean, comfortable and decorated so nicely. “I made a reservation through Expedia for a Queen room with a roll in shower, which was confirmed. Upon arrival at the hotel, I was told that this room was no longer available. I was offered a king room with a tub/shower with grab bars - okay - but I was told at the front desk at the same time that if I didn't take the room offered that my other choice was to use Expedia to find a different hotel. “Check-in was quick, and we were asked for a $50 refundable security deposit (booked through Expedia). Parking was plentiful, even during the last weekend of June with a World Cup match nearby. I inspected the room with a UV light, and the bedding was very clean. The bathroom was also clean, though there was a noticeable urine odor upon entering. A better disinfectant or room spray would have helped. The room was quiet with good sound insulation. The gym was limited, with no treadmill....

“I checked out after seeing my room. The owner refused to refund my money! The facility was not updated as advertised. The pictures where staged. The appearance of the room was not even close except for the wallpaper behind the bed! I had to drive further down to stay at the Days Inn which was much nicer. Advice to future travels, keep driving! Very dirty!”
