Hotel vicino a Half Moon Bay Beach - Freetown

“La camera con la piscina è molto scenica ma se sei al piano terra rimane sempre all’ombra. La piscina comune è un po’ triste con la qualche lettino in plastica lasciato in acqua e che si deteriora. La pulizia delle camere lascia un po’ a desiderare. Non tanto perché avviene ogni due giorni lì, quanto perché è molto approssimativa. Siamo entrati con due capelli in bella vista sulle piastrelle della doccia e ce ne siamo andati dopo una settimana con gli stessi capelli ancora li. Mangiare così così...

“the Chef was great, it is a small family owned place and they all chip in , the food was the best I had on the ISLAND in years. depending on your room and what you book, you get different things but the overal experience was great unless you want a more Eurocentric experience in the carribean, then the other Resorts are for you, but I love this little family Run place, was HOME. ”

“We were a little sceptical about Galleon Beach Resort due to limited reviews but we did not regret booking. Upon arrival Talia showed us down to Sea Breeze - cottage number 10. She left a welcome sheet providing her mobile number incase we needed it, numbers of taxis etc. The cottage was beautiful with a living area with two small couches, a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge water cooler and 2 plate hob. “The apartment exceeded my expectations! It was quiet and clean and close to the English harbor. The live hibiscus pedals on the bed as a nice touch. The communication is as also excellent. Very clear with directions. ”

“It was really special to stay in Nelson’s Dockyard. We stayed in the lofts and it was very relaxing. Only downside is the walls are paper thin (old building, I should have expected this) so bring ear plugs or a white noise machine if you’re a light sleeper! Restaurants were great at the hotel and the area is very walkable. There’s a complimentary boat to take you to Galleon Bay, which was a really nice beach.”

“location was hard to find as you have to use the location given in Expedia. Place was in a nice quiet location. Areas of improvement: sink water was running very very very slowly. Need sink replaced. Toilet would run more often on the second/third day and having to manually hold the stopper down was too much. WiFi was spotty which could have been due to the location. “Ottima la posizione, sulla collina che sovrasta Saint John, gode uno stupendo panorama lontano dalla confusione. La struttura è comunque carina senza troppe pretese. La camera buia poiché la privacy è garantita solo chiudendo le tende. Qualche insetto sempre presente nella cucina e nella stanza. La cucina ha gli strumenti ed utensili essenziali. A qualche accortezza non stonerebbe!”
