“This place is a little dated and in dire need of some TLC. A little time or money spent on the grounds could make this place amazing again, starting with the outsides. It is cheap enough to stay and the rooms although a little dated have great flooring all around including the bathrooms. The staff we interacted with were all friendly but they were a little off putting everytime we went past the reception there would be staff hanging around outside which made you feel uncomfortable, it was sunny...

“Ok but do NOT book in the summer!! Only one room has air con and the heated towel rail can not be turned off! Even with the fuse removed (owner advised we remove). This made the bathroom ridiculous hot which filtered through to the room. Room wasn’t the cleanest, stains up the walls from coffee (I hope) Aircon in all rooms would make it much more comfortable and the rest could be overlooked. Staff were fantastic though.”

“Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. “The Cottage is a perfect choice if you want clean, quiet, and private accommodations that are walking distance to the Sudbury shops, to the meadows, and to public transportation. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and utensils and has a peaceful view of the garden and the meadows beyond.
