“The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the welcome was friendly. But, we were nevertheless underwhelmed by our experience at The Queen’s Head. Dinner was okay although my partner did not enjoy his at all. The room wasn’t as clean as it could have been and there were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling which didn’t inspire confidence in the cleanliness in general. There was toilet roll stuffed into an evidently redundant bathroom door lock for some reason. (Maybe I am being petty, but changing...

“The property was very nice and historic the staff were exceptional. The only downside was the menu for dinner not a lot of different options but plenty of places to eat around that area I did want to eat in the hotel for the experience pity about the menu we did have a drink there and staff was exceptional again nothing to much thank you to the staff a1”

“Check in for this property was at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on the same street. I parked in their car park for 10 minutes to check in. For this I received a parking fine, which unbelievably has been upheld despite my providing the details of my reservation and their own record of my being in the car park for 10 minutes. This is a first for me, being fined by the hotel I am checking into. I was not asked to register my car at check in, no doubt because there was separate parking for the apartment...

“Room was nice and cosy , unfortunately had to leave for work every day to early for breakfast but there were some bits and pieces there if I wanted , plenty of hot water for a bath , bed was nice and comfortable, the only bad thing was someone had been in the room and taken my shampoo and razor the day before I left so could not was my hair or have a shave ”

“A lovely young girl served and checked us in. The room was very clean and tidy. We had a delicious full English breakfast which included orange juice, tea and coffee. Great stay and would recommend this place for the pub and the stay over!!!”
