“I was honestly moved by the level of service at this motel. The rooms are recently redecorated, modern, and clean (much of the furniture having been built by the owner and his family). The owner stayed up late to welcome us when we arrived, laid out a tray of snacks for us, stocked the fridge with cold water, and the next morning made us coffee. “I highly recommend the Historian Inn. My room was very clean and comfortable and had a somewhat quaint feel, which was carried over from the warm, charming lobby. The staff was very nice and capable. About that clean room, I note that even though I didn't have a pet, I was given a pet friendly room, since all the no pet rooms were taken.
