“Check-in at Harbor Inn Destin was nice, and the view from the room was great, but unfortunately the overall stay was disappointing. The lobby is older and not as clean as it could be. There were broken tiles, and the elevator area was absolutely nasty and took forever to arrive. The floors throughout the hotel looked dirty as well. The room itself had a major moisture issue. “Room was fine. The lobby/eating area was messy with food and crumbs everywhere. Biggest problem was all external doors for leaving, or re-entry with a room key, were duct taped open. I removed tape multiple times so there wasn’t free access into the building. Someone kept replacing the tape over the door latch. Meaning there was no security doors working. Anyone could walk into the hotel at anytime without any staff knowing. These doors should be kept functional and work properly. They are there...
