The Hotel has a well stocked bar and dining area with a good menu selection. This is the 2nd time i have stopped here and i would stop again. It has ample parking and is next door to the beautiful Devils Punch Bowl ideal for walkers.”

“We spent two nights at the hotel and were very pleased from the moment we arrived. The décor was lovely, the room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was big and extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly and eager to help. We used the spa facilities on the day of arrival, and it was wonderfully quiet — we were able to enjoy the sauna, steam room,pool and the gym without any waiting. “Friendly host, warm and cozy cottage atmosphere out on the country - very private and quiet too. The room was so nicely appointed and we loved the sound of the babbling stream outside. The bathroom was large and bright and had a big bathtub. Everything was so clean and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order each day. A wonderful spot away from the madding crowds but so close to so many beautiful places. ”

“We paid over £1000 for a two night stay. The room was very very tired and felt grubby and dated. The room was worse than a budget hotel room. Despite the £500 a night price you have to pay extra to have a cooked breakfast and the self serve breakfast on offer is very poor. No table service and only coffee on offer is weak watery coffee via a thermos flask. Not actually sure how they can justify the room price. “I expect that no one from Expedia had visited this 'hotel' basically a pub with four rooms. They were tired, decoration poor, carpets grubby, toilet was noisy (Macerator) no breakfast options at all and very expensive, £95 per room!”

“The woman sitting at a tiny table with a laptop got every room mixed up, I ended up in a family room with my sibling, my 2 elderly great aunts were put in a double and my great uncle ended up in a single room which was in the attic, she had no idea and obviously gave the rooms to all the wrong people despite me showing her my booking!
