“Garbage piled up, security for entrance into the building broken. Old, old. No elevator for the handicapped, which my husband is, and he had a terrible time climbing the steps. I’ll never go back ”

“We were greeted by a large private security guard who stared us down and blocked our entrance to the front desk to check in! Not the experience we were expecting. It felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. I felt like if I would have said anything the guard would have stopped me and made me leave. “What we did not like room 1016 and room 1017 there was either an air compressor running or something that was making noise 24 hours a day just don’t get the room 1016 or 1017 you will not sleep!!!”

“This hotel is right across from Kinnick Stadium and a three minute drive to University of Iowa hospitals and clinics very conveniently located well priced very clean and nice, knowledgeable and friendly staff would definitely stay again! My husband and I stayed because I had a surgery and they had an available wheelchair for afterwards so I could get back up to our room. Staff was very accommodating.”

“Hotel was nice. but a few hiccups: 1. We didn’t receive fresh towels or coffee (i.e., cleaning service) on our second day. 2. We were placed in a room that was directly across from a meeting room where a prayer service was held early on Sunday morning. We were awoken by loud voices and singing. 3. I had to ask for breakfast vouchers ( they were not offered) even though they were included in our weekend package. My brother who was in a separate room was not told about nor did he ever receive...

Room was filthy, food on floor, something smeared all over we refrigerator, drips of food on chair, room smelled, bathroom mirror had same white smear the refrigerator had. We were moved to a different room. This had no shower curtain, mold all along grout line, soap scum Ring in bathtub, barely a trickle of water from shower head and water spout.
