“Couldn't have asked for a lovelier stay. The Heather pod was an excellent base for our adventures around the west coast, and a gorgeous spot to settle down with a book and a cup of tea after a long day's walking. Kate is a great host, and the pod was cosy, comfortable and spacious. The setting is great for nature lovers too - we could hear warblers, whitethroats, snipe and more from the pod porch, and even had an encounter with a pine marten during our stay. “You are staying on a boat on land however it was modernised with flushing toilets and hot water and heating. Hosts Lynette and Angus were lovely and could not do enough for us, loved our welcome treats and nice touches throughout the boat. Perfect for a couple with medium size dog. “This has to be one of the best places for its views that I have been to. So quiet and peaceful, sun was out, absolutely breath taking! Lodge was spotless, spacious and would definitely come back. Well worth the money! ”

“This was our 2nd time staying at the Holly Tree Hotel in Kentallen. The views are incredible, great food and very nice staff. Kentallen was a good home base for the week where we could strike out from to Oban, Fort William, Glencoe, Skye.”

“Catriona was a lovely host, she gave us plenty of information about the local area and suggestions of things to do. We stayed in the stable which was clean, comfortable, provided everything we could want and had an amazing spiral staircase which really makes the downstairs area. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at Blarghour to anyone wanting to unwind, explore or both.”

"Because we had a bad experience at the restaurant outside the hotel (the only one working in one-hour driving area) we chose to dine at the hotel. They told us that the chef was alone that night (Saturday) and could take up to one hour to eat something (7:30PM). We had no choice and asked for veggie burgers, but they didn’t have any (again, on Saturday night with tons of tourists around). We ended up eating fries for dinner. To excuse, the staff arranged a small snack before our departure the next day. It was really kind of them but this doesn’t cover the lack of organization for such an important hotel."
