Baite a Hilo

“Beautiful setting, very clean, a few uninvited guests but no worries, all good. Small refrigerator holds a few days worth of poke, side dishes and drinks. Late last night, wild pigs were at the front doorway and got into the trashcan. Nothing to be alarmed about as long as your mindful of their damagous behavior. Mahalo Jessica!”

“This was a nice, cozy cabin! We loved the proximity to the Volcano National Park, the fire stove heater, and the lush vegetation. We did wish the host responded to our question about trash and that the hot tub got hotter. Overall, solid stay. ”

“Very cool property on a secluded lot. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable. Great patio and was able to hang out in July with no bugs!Conveniently located less than 45 mins from Hilo and South Island activities like Punalu’u (the best black beach). But of course minutes down the highway from Volcano Natl Park. Only thing missing is a hammock on the patio!Highly recommend. ”

“Wonderful stay in the jungle Fern forest, gravel road to the rental is in great shape, any vehicle would be fine. Exactly as described and pictured, nothing more or less, for the price it's 10/10; easy late arrival access with gate key code and cabin door code ; soothing coqui frogs all night after the neighborhood dogs settle in. somewhat thin walls with neighboring cabin, maybe bring earplugs”

“This place is very rural. Katherine is a very nice host.The unit itself is about 10 ft by 20ft. The inside table for dining is in the photo with a glass top. There are two stools, a coffee maker, a small fridge, and a Queen-sized bed on a platform. The mattress was very comfortable. It might be a bit challenging for older guests to get on the bed. There is an outside table with umbrella and chairs. The stove and sink with utensils and crockery are on a prep surface outside of the bedroom. The...

“The grounds and the view are great, the cabin has been partially restored. It was a very rustic kitchen set-up, but we made it work. Only real problem were ants. They could find a single grain of sugar anywhere.We named the rooster that hangs around there Hei-Hei. We also had the gecko brothers who kept sneaking into kitchen.The pond has toads in it and they sing at night, counted 6 one night.
