Our priorities are 1) peace and quiet away from the tourist zones, 2) good reef snorkeling that's easily accessible, 3) kayaking, 4) pool. For anyone looking for these things (especially to relax away from tourists), this property will fit the bill nicely. We paddled out to the reef to snorkel, daily, and would paddle out to Hole in the Wall, the floating Salt Spray Mangrove Bar, and Mangroves...

“We loved our stay at Turtle Beach Sanctuary. It was very private, quiet, and felt very upscale. Beautiful views and atmosphere. You will definitely want to plan ahead for transportation and your food/meals as it is a bit remote. That being set right into town with a golf cart or less with a scooter. “If you're looking for a place outside of the tourist spots, but still a reasonable drive anywhere this is the place for you! The pool, the view, and the privacy were amazing. This pool and porch area have been our favorite from all the places we rented in the Caribbean so far. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. We appreciated having the air con in the rooms at night. You will need a vehicle to stay here if you plan to see other parts of the island as taxis would be expensive....

“The staff was welcoming and very accommodating. The house was very clean. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The location is ideal for families with both young children and teenagers. The location is perfect for kayaking, snorkeling and riding jet skies. We had a family of 7 ranging in age from 16 to 58 and everyone had a wonderful time. We will definitely stay here for our next trip to Roatan. ”
