“We loved the cottage and the serene location, and we appreciated the kindness of our friendly hosts!”

“Clean, neat and tidy. Very good communication with the host. Very nice.”

“The location of the Potting shed was ideal as we were going to an orienteering event close by in Pippingford Park. The welcome treats were lovely and the rooms felt warm and cosy.We had an issue with the WiFi as the access as described was very intermittent. We contacted the owner about it and used a different WiFi name.”

“This turned out to be a home away from home. Our hosts were superb, making sure we settled in and were comfortable. There were lots of little details that made our stay enjoyable and memorable. Items such as the history, displays, wildlife and so forth. The only true and meaningful compliment that we can offer is: Would we return? Absolutely. In fact, we are already starting our plans for that return trip.”

“My family of 4 (including kids aged 5 and 8) had an incredible time at the Cottage over the course of 4 nights. The entire property is gorgeous and the hosts were so warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Our stay coincided with a period of warm weather so we got to enjoy beautiful summer evenings strolling about on a countryside estate watching foxes play on the adjacent field. “If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest.”

Unfortunately the countryside setting wasn’t that peaceful as sporadically two very loud men were working on restoring some vintage double decker buses in the adjoining barn - language and diesel fumes not so welcome.”

Voor iedereen die een fan is van de National trust is dit de ideale accommodatie alles is op korte afstand bereikbaar en een rustpunt na een dag in de English Country. Donald en Anneke (Holland)”

“My husband and I enjoyed a week in Mill Barn in early June. Unfortunately the weather didn't want to play along so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful garden as much as I had hoped, but that was no loss - the cottage is adorable inside too and it's perfect for cozy cocooning when it's rainy. We enjoyed the smart TV, bath and wonderful shower, as well as the well equipped kitchen. There are plenty of fun day trips in the area and Penny was incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. I would book...
