“As a regular staying at Essentia in Dumaguete,
Charos dormitel is a breath of fresh air !!
Outstanding room, staff, restaurant and not so many guests (not crowded like Essentia) !
I agree with other travelers reviews now !
This was a 5 star experience for one night stay.

“The room was clean and spacious, the Staff was fantastic in being both extremely kind and helpful.
The restaurant was exceptionally good both the Breakfast and dinner entrees were excellent.
I spent a few weeks at The Lighthouse and will absolutely recommend a stay.

“The room was really good for sleeping with not much comfort to offer. Set-up of the
room was in disarray. Only bath towels were provided and bath mats. Breakfast was reasonable. Would not recommend staying in the place if looking for comfort and a little class and luxury.”

“Very little seems to go toward upgrades/general maintenance. First room - part of the flooring was yellow taped and upon inspecting, the floor tile had no foundation & seemed unable to be weight bearing. I changed rooms.
Second room - toilet leaked water across bathroom floor. Other minor stuff like leaking shower hose & blocked shower rose. Bathroom floor tiles old, heavily stained and showing their age.
All staff were helpful and friendly. Great location as its 2 minute walk to water...

“Budget Accomodation, but vey clean, with air condition, wi Fi, cable tv, nice and helpful personnel, good position. It's on the first floor, and on the street level there is a seven 11, open 24 hours, and a coffee shop where they make crepes. It's also in walking distance from the promenade and the commercial pier, so there is plenty of restaurants where you can eat. They don't serve breakfast, great value for the money!”

“No towel service, crazy small room that they crammed a shower, washer, and toilet. You had to step around/squeeze by the washer to get to the toilet. You’re practically standing in the shower when using the sink. Water everywhere on floor. Ridiculous service in fixing the leak. We actually checked out after one night out of the 5 scheduled days. All they said was thank you, no sorry for the inconvenience. Plus tv has no channels. Nothing. Not even local. ”
