“I had an excellent stay at The Horse Inn. The host was very welcoming, and the room was clean and tastefully furnished. My only criticism was that it could have been warmer, and there was no plug to the sink. The breakfasts were superb. ”

“Nice hotel and staff. Good food. Breakfast menu could do with being explained a little better and also having to pay for teas and coffees as these were not included in the breakfast was not good. We were in a “cosy double” which was fine but would have been even better if they removed the chair and added a chest of drawers or some shelves. ”

“Would recommend this to anyone! Friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful bed, so comfy. Lovely large room with tea & coffee making, ironing board, iron, and a jar of jelly beans! Very clean. Had a meal in the restaurant with friends. It was delicious. I had cottage pie, our friends had the pork stuffing pie, great desserts and was not overpriced either.”

“We found the staff welcoming and friendly. The rooms were comfortable with everything one would need for a short stay. The breakfast buffet bar simply groaned with a huge range of cold food and drinks and there was a good menu for cooked alternatives. We were only able to fit in one evening meal and we went for the specials choosing fish for both starter (trout paté) and for mains – as we were near the sea, we decided on ‘catch of the day’ which turned out to be sea bass. “Rooms great. Staff great. Food and service great. Just a bit out of town. Great if you have a car, otherwise taxis needed. Castle cars were great though. ”

Abbiamo pernottato il venerdì notte, quindi c'e' stato del rumore fino a notte inoltrata dal pub, ma comunque non tale da non farci dormire. La camera che ci è stata assegnata era confortevole e pulita. Il personale si è reso disponibile a prepararci la colazione "continentale" la mattina presto, siccome dovevamo recarci in aeroporto per il volo di ritorno.”
