“This property was conveniently located for my stay. The bedding was clean and new. However, the room needs updates. My door needed to be pulled closed. Could easily have been left askew. Then when closed, there was light coming through the crack.”

“This is an old dilapidated hotel. We were assigned to single room when I booked a double. We were given a rejected double room. Unacceptable from dirty windows, non-working wifi that needed attention from the staff, who were just slow to attend to the issue, broken furnitures, TV that needs fixing, shower knobs that is almost coming out of the wall, old AC unit that is noisy as it can get. Just terrible to be in. Requested a room transfer but the desk was firm on not giving into our request. Why...

“Fan in the room kept us up all night making noise like it needed to be repaired. The "breakfast" was not a breakfast at all! Simply a cellophane wrapped tiny muffin and coffee.”

“Close to amenities and attractions”

“Even if some renovations were in progress during my stay, everything has gone fine. Never heard any noise from the renovations work. Affordable price for the room. Breakfast include.”

“Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Brighton was a very clean hotel. Great rooms with comfortable beds and personal care amenities. The staff was professional and friendly. They took great care with their guests' breakfast choices, kept the seating area well cleaned during transition of guests. Omar, specifically was focused on his role and care to guests each morning. Thank you - we would definitely visit again!”

“Rooms were very run down and many items broken or in poor condition like couches, lights and mini refrigerators. Also the beds very springy. Breakfast was good some days but sparse. The room cleaning would only occur if you requested 24 hours in advance but this was not shared during check in. If you stay near the pool the whole area has very strong chlorine smell. And there is a lot of carpet throughout the faciliy and rooms that is dated.”

“Excellent staff but the place was very run down. Smelled like a dog when we walked in and our room smelled like old cooking grease. No shampoo in the bathroom. Dressers and furniture were really beat up. I get that it is not a luxury hotel, but for $250/ night (graduation weekend price gouging), it was hard to swallow. Not gonna extend my stay here.”

“The major issue is the internet, which was very choppy and slow. It would also have been nice to have some water available for the guests rather than having them pay for it each day.”
