Our stay on the third floor was challenging due to the lack of elevator access for luggage, which was particularly inconvenient when traveling with young children; the experience felt more akin to a hostel than a hotel.”

“The air conditioning unit was not very responsive to the room's temperature; however, since it wasn't too hot during my stay, it was manageable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, which I found to be a refreshing experience. The walls are quite thin, so you can hear conversations from other rooms, especially late in the evening. “What's not to love? It's a lovely facility, UBC campus is beautiful, and it's very peaceful. The rooms are spartan (they're dorms), but they randomly had the *most* amazing towels I've ever had at a hotel, and I've stayed at many top-end hotels (picture bath sheets two inches thick). Toiletries are mid, bring your own shampoo & conditioner unless you are ok with 2 in 1. Breakfast is a bit hit and miss (terrible coffee and eggs, pretty good pancakes & bacon). “Really beautiful view. The property is accessed by a very steep driveway, with parking above on the main road. It would not work for persons with mobility issues. We however have none, and managed just fine. Owners were lovely and live on site upstairs.”
