“The Teahupo’o surf break is basically directly out front (off-shore at the reef, of course) but water taxis are right at the shore by the front gate of pension so the location could not be better from that POV. It’s a short walk (5 minutes) on a nice beach path from the Teahupo’o photo wave spot and Olympic rings, or you can drive to the pension and park but only if you’ve got a vehicle capable of river-crossing - so that adds to the charm of the place as well. The pension is quite nice, super...

“One word sums up this resort..... spectacular!!!!! From the room, the staff, the food, and the views just incredible!!! Me and my wife have traveled around the world and hands down this is the best resort we have ever been to!! We only stayed one night before boarding our South Pacific Cruise but we have already booked a week stay next fall!!! Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay incredible!”

There are good restaurants and a shop closeby so you do not per se need a car all days. Swimming and Kayaking of the coast was great, we even saw a turtle in the crystal clear water. Besides that the hotel itself is in a good state and has an amazing view. There is a big kitchen for general use which is also helpful if you...

“flexible, check-in. Very clean room. Excellent shower. Very strong water pressure. Wonderful free bicycles. Excellent free kayaks. Very near the best restaurant on the island.”

“I stayed in the Kava bungalow which I thought was excellent. That said, the stairs to the loft where the main bed is are small and steep so something to keep in mind if you need to try to make it down to use the bathroom and back up in the dead of night. The grounds and the view are straight out of your favourite travel influencer’s TikTok, so that’s a highlight, for sure. And the food at the restaurant was great. The whole place is up a steep hill so it’s not really walking friendly but if you...
