“Lady at the desk refused my reservation saying she told them she wasn't doing the online reservations anymore. repeatedly. Stayed anyways as I needed a room. Room smelled a little odd, not bad, but something scented for cleaning? and towels and toilet paper were low grade and no shampoo or conditioner, just a single soap bar in the bathroom.”

“Our return ferry trip was cancelled, so instead of driving 3+ hours with my granddaughter, I figured we'd stay somewhere inexpensive. While there are features such as cleanliness and service that rate 5 stars, this is not a 5 star property. It is an extremely well maintained and clean 1950s motel, right across the street from the boardwalk and beach. “The only thing that woks on this place is the proximity to the boardwalk. This hotel has no owner. The only person that I saw working in there doesn’t care about anything. The garage is never picked up from the rooms or the public spaces. The pool is never cleaned or treated with chemicals. THIS PKACE IS LITERALLY FALLING APART. It’s definitely not worth the money. If you end up in this place, you’re on your own. This is the worse place in all of Wildwood and the worst if that I have ever stayed...

“We have enjoyed this motel which is just steps from the boardwalk in the heart of downtown. Spacious room with big picture window. Nice lounge area with lots of lounge chairs and space to grill on the 2nd floor deck area. Beds and pillows are comfy too! The woman at the front desk is very kind and helpful and makes check in quick and easy.”

“The pools were great. The daily DJ was fun. The elevator was super slow. The bartenders are super picky about no outside food or drink at the pool. That’s tough when you have little kids and all they want to eat is snacks ! The location is great for the boardwalk and beach and it’s very accommodating for a large group. The front office staff were exceptional.”

“Our family stayed in one of the spacious townhouse units with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an efficiency kitchen and balconies with ocean view. Close to the beach. Very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend this hotel!”

“This was our 8th time at the Shalimar. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and met all our needs. The pool was well maintained and parking was always available. They have a small arcade, five hole golf, cornhole and a ping pong table. Learned today they have a fitness room! There's something for everyone. We're going back in a few weeks! Highly recommend.”

“This hotel is not great, no matter the deal. We had numerous problems from broken lamps, a shower that didn’t drain, a stolen phone cord huge crack in bathroom sink… Dust literally on walls, damaged curtains that wouldn’t close…horrible. We will NEVER return!”

“Front desk & cleaning staff were nice when they were around. You can tell there’s effort to maintain the place & its clean but it’s aging. I felt safe. It was as quiet as can be expected. The pool was very clean & nice. If you’re looking for a 5 star this isn’t it but it’s definitely a place I would stay again.”
