The composting toilet in the very clean outhouse was perfect and did not smell at all. The camping shower worked great for us. “What an absolutely beautiful place. My wife and I spent an extended weekend for our anniversary to get away and relax. My wife loves to cook, and this kitchen was so well thought out, it had everything she needed. The only thing to note was that if you are a light sleeper and sleep in the bedroom on the main floor, the heat pump may wake you up when it kicks on. We wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to be back maybe in the fall or again next winter.”

“My husband and I (and our dog) stayed here for our anniversary weekend. It was very clean when we arrived and smelled like pine. Super cozy! As other reviews mentioned the doors are a hard to close but it’s doable! Not a problem at all. And as far as the “close to the road” it’s not a problem at all.
