Hotel vicino a Kennet Leisure Centre - Thatcham

“Vi måtte desværre køre videre for planlagt, men på vores ene nat på The Swan nåede vi at konstatere, at en dobbeltseng på 135 cm bredde ikke er godt nok. Desuden var fjedrene i madrassen så maste at vi kunne mærke sengebunden. Det fremgår at der er 2 hhv 3 minutters gang fra The Swan til navngivne spisesteder, vi mener snarere 30 minutter.”

“We were very late checking in (11pm) and had to be on our way at 8am, so shortest ever hotel stay for us. Hotel is in a good location, to the west of Newbury. Check in went smoothly and I understand our rooms were upgraded, which we greatly appreciated - the air con especially. Bed was super comfy, spare pillows in wardrobe (which we always appreciate), there were plenty of hot drink options in room and body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion available in bathroom which...

“personale gentilissimo, camera comoda ma desiderosa di alcuni restauri, purtroppo con le finestre sulla strada ad alto scorrimento”

“Room clean with comfortable bed and nice bedding. Lovely waiter in the restaurant from South Africa. Breakfast nice with order service for poached/fried eggs. Plenty choice at bar.”

“A lovely cosy Pub , Hidden away just of the main road. Good food, Staff very attentative, A good atmosphere. Will be staying there again next year for the Retro festival weekend.”

“Staff were lovely. Had a long drive and arrived on the cutoff for ordering dinner, but thankfully the staff were kind enough to still let us order. We had both dinner and breakfast, both were absolutely delicious. There was some games we could borrow which we enjoyed playing in the bar, only small disadvantage is the bar closed at 10:30. Room was very clean, stocked with tea and coffee and the extra pillows in the wardrobe was a nice addition. Overall, we had a very peaceful, relaxing stay.”

“Good size rooms with a balcony . Comfy beds . Tea and making coffee facilities. Some rooms allow dogs if you book ahead. Excellent choice for breakfast.”

“Plenty of parking, friendly staff, Very clean. Limited menu but excellent quality. Let down by peeling paintwork on exterior giving a neglected appearance. Would benefit from a fridge in the bedroom”

“We just spent the night there, coming back from a wedding celebration. So didn’t really check the place out much. But I’d definitely recommend the full English veggie b’fast & fresh coffee: very tasty! 🙂”

“Great hotel, good service particularly the brasserie restaurant. We enjoyed the spa treatments. A bit noisy on the Saturday night.”

“We chose this hotel/pub as it was close to the Bombay Sapphire distillery, I think most people staying were there for the same thing. We were not too sure what to expect as their communication has been awful, I emailed several times over the last few months and had no response at all. I had emailed and asked for an inside room after reading several reviews saying that the outside stable rooms were dark and dingy; needless to say when we arrived we were booked into an outside room! The...

“We stayed here one night as my niece was getting married and having her wedding venue just down the road in the village Hall. The room was lovely, very clean and every thing you would need, to a very high standard. We didn’t eat there so I can’t comment on that.”
