Speriamo che vi piaccia questa casa dove i ricordi di Ernest Hemingway e Jimmy Buffet vi accolgono nella dimora del nostro primo ospite affettuosamente chiamato "The Writer's Retreat".
Questo appartamento con due camere da letto e un bagno con pavimento in legno grigio sbiancato è sottolineato da un enorme televisore al plasma da 65 pollici caricato con migliaia di film a portata di mano. Rilassati sui mobili di design mentre ti godi della collezione completa dei libri di Hemingway o ti perdi nel ritiro The Master Bedroom che è stato lussuosamente decorato con lenzuola con 1000 fili sul romantico letto a baldacchino con portefinestre che conducono ad un ampio patio posteriore con vista sulla piscina.
La camera degli ospiti con due letti singoli pillow top aggiornato che può essere convertito in un letto matrimoniale per ospitare una famiglia o due coppie. Il re è provvisto di una imbottitura molto spessa e di biancheria sensuale per il massimo comfort. Goditi i suoni delle chiavi o la musica di Buffet mentre la camera degli ospiti è decorata in omaggio al crooner e allo stile di vita dell'isola, dettagliati in spartiti incorniciati.
Se si soggiorna per la sera o si fissa la colazione o il pranzo, ci si diverte nella cucina a tema degli anni '50 equipaggiata con un frigorifero SMEG europeo importato e elettrodomestici in acciaio inossidabile. Allo stesso modo, il bagno è stato decorato in stile art déco tipico di una volta precedente nelle Keys.
La zona anteriore della camera familiare dispone di un divano letto matrimoniale con un piumino e biancheria da letto per dormire extra. Tutti i cuscini e la biancheria da letto sono abbassati e di alta qualità per offrire il massimo comfort durante il soggiorno. Molto semplicemente, abbiamo progettato questa casa per adattarci allo stile di vita di Keys. È luminoso, aperto e si presta a un'atmosfera che speriamo ti catapulti in un ottimo soggiorno nelle nostre amate Keys.

Love this place! The location is amazing very close to all of the best restaurants and bars in Old Town Key West. The condo itself is very nice comfortable and clean witch is very important to me

We had a nice stay. The beds were very comfortable, and it was conveniently located to many walkable restaurants. The pool area was quiet, and we had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed the double balconies too. My only negative comment would be about the overall cleanliness. The bathroom, kitchen and floors were in need of more attention to detail by the cleaning staff. Overall, I would recommend the property, however the cleanliness was lacking as mentioned above.

Great location with use of the pool. Loved the second floor porches on front and rear of the unit. Tight bedrooms with one small bathroom. Cleaning crew was at our door at the 10am checkout time.

The Writer's Retreat was conveniently located near all of the Key West attractions we wanted to visit. Once we were checked in, we didn't need to move the car again until we left. The community pool was a great amenity and was located close to the unit. The apartment was the perfect size for our family of four.

First time to KW and the location is great and we comfortably walked everywhere. Condo owner was very responsive to questions. Comes with small kitchen and fridge for cooking but we did not use it because we were only there 4 days. Condo did accommodate our family of 6 but it was small and tight. Would be perfect for 4!Thank you for the opportunity the place was great.JP

We had high hopes when booking this property-- write-up and reviews looked great, location was ideal. On the plus side- the location of the condo was great--close to everything Key West has to offer within walking distance! Nice community with a pool. Parking is right out front. Condo itself was another story-- definitely didn't live up to the description- it needs some updating/up-keep. Check-in was an hour after contracted time (apparently the previous guests had a late checkout, to our detriment); freezer needs a serious defrosting; the bathroom towels (ostensibly white) were dingy and stained; many of the light bulbs were out; TV remote batteries were dead; the backs of the dining chairs were so loose they are a safety concern; porch furniture (on either deck) not as depicted- torn cushions on the front deck furniture.

The property was in a great location to explore old town on foot. The complex and unit were comfortable. The unit could really use a deep clean and it would have been nice to have a workable freezer and ice machine. Otherwise the unit worked fine for our week stay.

Decorated nice. Did not like the broken bathroom faucet. I called to notify and was told it works but due to future bookings, it has been broken for awhile but still not fixed. Not pleased with the frost filled freezer.

My sister and niece and I came for a long weekend at Key West and had a great time! The location of the condo is so perfect- walkable to everywhere and the property is just as described. The pool was a great way to relax on the hot afternoons and all the bars and restaurants were so fun and convenient in the evenings .Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

The unit was very clean and nicely appointed. The owners have provided (as far as we needed) all the utensils, dishes, etc. you will need. Although the ad says that there are no beach chairs provided, there is a big basket of them- perhaps left from previous visitors. Two things we had problems with: The freezer is TINY. It needs defrosted for one and a small bag of ice leaves no room for anything else. The key box on the outside door is not reachable for a vertically challenged person. If I hadn't had tall friends, I would have never been able to gain entrance. Other than that, location is ideal. I've stayed in the Truman Annex every time I've visited Key West (10-12 years). The fact that you can have a quiet place to go back to after being in the night life, I feel, is wonderful. Book the Writer's Retreat. You won't be disappointed!
