“Large and spacious property. Beautiful place and excellent location for the south Devon coast. We swam, body boarded and walked. Evening in front of the fire and playing piano.”

“Our 3rd stay with Peggy at Brambles, we booked extra nights as it is such a gaven. The accommodation is better than described , very comfortable and for a family it’s a five star hotel but the freedom of self catering. Lots of lovely walks nearby and close to Thurieston beach and hope cove so plenty of walks , great food and accessible beaches nearby. Peggy is so welcoming and nothing is to big an ask ! Looking forward to our next stay !”

“Lovely spacious barn conversion in a quiet rural location within easy reach of beaches and eateries. The only downside was that all bedrooms are accessed by stairs which was a struggle but manageable for my elderly father. Overall a very enjoyable stay and I would very much recommend.”

The village was very quaint and the village shop was run by very friendly ladies. Plenty to do and see in the area and would recommend the round robin tour which includes a steam train,riverboat and bus ride.”

“Lovely cottage, very comfortable and homely. The road is narrow, quite busy and there are no pavements, so walking along the road can be a bit hazardous. The walk along the edge of the estuary is pretty muddy and requires boots or wellies.”

“This was our base for walking the last leg of the SW Coastal path from Dartmouth to Plymouth. It was perfect. Recommend the Hope and Anchor in Hope cove. Averil was a superb host.”
