“The house is light, modern, clean, spacious and has great entertaining spaces. It overlooks a caravan park, but we knew this and that was fine. The major issue was that the washing machine is broken and it fused the electricity of the house mid-cycle with a full load of my kids’ clothes (sitting in dirty water). I had no clean clothes for my kids and, when pressed, the only alternative the agent offered was to use the laundrette at the caravan site. This is c20mins walk away from the house (NB...

“A picture perfect place to stay. The views are simply stunning. This cosy costal getaway looks exactly as the photos. Just a short walk away you'll find the Village Inn which is worth visiting for food and/or a couple of drinks. There are plenty of walks on the doorstep to explore and the nearest beach is a 20 minute walk away. Bigbury, Bantham and Yarmer we're our favourites. Communication with the host was great. We would recommend. ”

“We had a great week at Catherine’s cottage,which was very clean,tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay!The cottage is in the lovely village of Slapton Sands with a nice friendly Pub and a local shop all within walking distance!!We had our dog with us and had some nice walks around the village or trips to Dartmouth and Salcombe are all within easy driving distance!We hope to visit again in the future!”

“Fantastic stay at the Boathouse, with such an amazing prime balcony location overlooking he estuary enabling us to enjoy the views morning and evening - when the weather allowed! The house was very clean and well looked after. One minor thing to be aware of is, being next to the Crabshell Inn, the early morning supply delivery and bin collection lorry reversing warnings as they backed up right outside the downstairs bedroom, which cant be helped, other than that a very enjoyable stay.”

“Once you’ve negotiated those tiny lanes, you reach this unspoilt beautiful location. To stay in such a lovely house facing the sea is so lucky. You go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves crashing up the shore. What more do you need to unwind and relax ! ”

“We had a lovely last minute stay in the Grain Store. The facilities were great (pool, games room etc) and the house was lovely and had everything we needed. Only negative feedback would be that some news pans are needed, the handles are really loose and a bit dangerous when using.”
