I recently stayed at one of your properties with my partner, and the experience was deeply disappointing. Over the years, Delta has shifted from feeling special to feeling stripped of basic comforts.
The lobby greeted us with an overpowering chemical deodorizer—more headache than “fresh.” In our king room, two people checked in, yet only one face cloth was provided. Even after housekeeping, that same, now wet and used, single cloth was left hanging. Towels? Two. Hand towels? Two. Face cloths? One???
Pillows were lumpy and worn. Morning coffee was tragic: a one-cup Cuisinart with coffee tea bags, two regular and one decaf pouch. The coffee was stale and watery, with only fake toxic cream, despite a fridge in the room. The “solution” is a Starbucks in the lobby—$11 for two Americanos.
No pen or paper. No extra blanket. The AC was loud, but when it cycled off, the constant drone from an outdoor hotel unit took over, making for a restless night.
Delta once felt like an upgrade. Now it feels like bare minimum at a premium price. Please bring back the small touches and quality that made staying here worth remembering.
