Hotel a Ladysmith

“Friendly staff, comfortable bed, nothing special but a reasonable place to stay for a reasonable price. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re a light sleeper or a princess but we enjoyed our stay. ”

“This was potentially the worst hotel stay I've ever had. I've never stayed in a room with such poor sound proofing before and sleeping was miserable. You could hear EVERY time someone opened their door. It didn't help that the bar had karaoke playing super loudly too on Friday and Saturday night. You could hear everything. The guy working at the front desk was lovely but there's only so much you can do to block the noise. It was hard to fall asleep before 1am and I was woken up both mornings...

“This is the main place i stay when in town. Love the room size, convenient location if you have a car and that every room has a lake view. ”

Through no fault of the owners, the city as a whole is not a safe place to visit, particularly in the area where the property is located. We had someone clearly under the influence of some sort of substance repeatedly try to enter our room, and would not leave until police were involved. “Overall the cottage was great. Loved the spacious 3 bedrooms. Living room was big and the kitchen had everything we needed. ”

“Given the rate, I did not have high expectations; however, cleanliness is an area that could be improved. The fridge and microwave were not cleaned, which may have been an oversight. The bedsheets also had hair on them, so I wasn’t entirely sure if they had been changed after the previous guest checked out.”

“Room photos on expedia showed a room that had been nicely renovated but our room was one that clearly hadn't been done yet. Place didn't seem full so I'm guessing not very many rooms look like the pictures. There is a pretty big difference between the room we got and the pictures they show so it's hard not to feel a bit deceived. Sound proofing is lacking so we could hear car doors slamming for most of the night. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. Location is close to local...
