“Great view from room. You can see ferries going in a distance as well as the Malahat to Victoria. On clear days you can see Vancouver and the Washington coast. Seen deer eating on the property. Very clean and quiet.”

“The Cottage and Castle is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated and situated in a lovely neighborhood of colourfully painted houses and As well it is anIt’s a real gem. However as we returned after an evening out the stench in the air from a soil, composting, wastewater and recycling treatment plant was overwhelming. I there is a solution to this as Chemainus is a charming town and the Cottage and Castle was exceptional! ”

“Nice stay”

“This was potentially the worst hotel stay I've ever had. I've never stayed in a room with such poor sound proofing before and sleeping was miserable. You could hear EVERY time someone opened their door. It didn't help that the bar had karaoke playing super loudly too on Friday and Saturday night. You could hear everything. The guy working at the front desk was lovely but there's only so much you can do to block the noise. It was hard to fall asleep before 1am and I was woken up both mornings...

“I came to Poets Cove for 3 nights on a solo trip. First time visiting Pender Island and I came without a car. Poets Cove offers a shuttle bus that comes to pick travellers up from Otter Bay and brings them to the hotel. However, the bus didn't show up and I was stuck at the terminal for about 30-45 minutes. They said the bus broke down. The general manager came and picked me up and brought me to the hotel. On the way, he gave me a nice tour of the island and explained how things work on Pender...
