“The management hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The kitchenette equipment was missing some basic items , due to guests taking things , ( !? ) , but the management quickly provided some items needed. The suites are large and comfortably furnished, and the beds are too. The Lodge is very quiet and peaceful, and located very conveniently, walking distance to downtown and the Cowichan River ,and very near to the Highway 18 , to access driving Youbou or to Duncan and other...

“Juliette is a wonderful host and her home is clean and lovely - filled with organic and sustainable products and the breakfast was just what we needed after a week of bikepacking around the Cowichan Valley! Highly recommend this as a great way to celebrate the end of an adventure.”

“there is no staff there so you are on your own - but that is ok - it is a very small place - old but totally updated inside no extra emenities at all on the outside (ice etc) the stairs to the top floor are not the best but if you are fit, they work!! Booking was great with Expedia but the hotel itself says you need to fill out a form and give 2 pieces if ID? which is not true!! for the money it was worth it”

“The room was basic and clean.Air conditioner worked well.Surprising choice of TV options. Fridge and freezer both worked well.Downside for me was no blowdryer in the bathroom but I would stay here again.”

“This is a quaint little Inn. There were lots of nice little touches like real milk, yogurt and cheese in the fridge. Loved that there were two arm chairs at the end of the bed to sit for a few minutes to watch the World Cup. Two minute walk to the boardwalk. Sidney is a very cute city.”

“The views are spectacular and the room was very clean and comfortable…there’s a spa-like ambiance. The grounds are immaculate, and I found the staff to be gracious and professional. I liked that the property is serene and private, but still relatively close to Victoria and surrounding areas for day trips.”

“What we liked: The location near the sea wall, being near the pub (but in a separate building, so no pub noise) and the quaint heritage building. What we didn't like: The slightly small, creaky bed with a dip in the middle which made sleeping with a partner rather uncomfortable, the very temperamental toilet, the fire alarm going off for no apparent reason at about 7:15am for about 10 minutes and the receptionist forgetting to give us the wifi password.”
