“We had a two night stay at this hotel. Overall was very pleasant. But we did find that pillows were very firm. And all of seating was rather low, considering the average age of guest including ourselves this was a problem. Otherwise all good”

“Very spacious and clean rooms with excellent tea, coffee and hot chocolate, but please, three teabags for a room for two? Leisure facilities were excellent and quiet when we visited. The car park is tight, so larger vehicles beware. Walking distance from town centre.”

“Newly renovated room. Comfortable bed and quiet place. The only thing is we missed the breakfast as they only serve until 9 am. We thought it’s 10 am like other hotel. LOL. Otherwise it’s really good stay and will definitely come back again. ”

“Stayed in a room on the second (top) floor. Really comfortable bed, nice big bathroom and a good shower. Was quite hot due to the weather so needed the very efficient fan on. Very convenient for Lake Windermere and Ambleside. Would stay again. No negatives on the hotel, other than the outside fish pond looks like it needs a good clean out and a filter for the benefit of the fish. ”

“Beautiful location, views are stunning on the outside terrace, rooms are lovely whilst small has all you need although would suggest a mirror on the dressing table. Breakfast was lovely, drinks very reasonably priced with a good selection and lovely welcoming staff. ”
