“This property is on the Lake Road, a main road that runs from Windermere to Bowness. Bus stops are nearby and fairly frequent and can take you into nearby Windermere, if you don't want to walk, or other parts of the Lake District eg Grasmere. The property itself is lovely, slightly rustic, but I like that 'home from home' feel. Our room (Kingsize) was very well laid out, had useful amenities and quite comfortable. One small gripe, which Richard warned us about, is the wardrobe not closing...

“Good hotel with good views and clean rooms. Rooms we stayed were compact with Mountain views. A great location in Ambleside. Bus stops with Public Buses towards Windermere are next door. The hotel didn't have lifts but the climb on the stairs didn't seem steep.but older people might struggle a bit. There's a £12 parking charge per day. Breakfast was included but very limited options and a limited window for an hour”
