“Luxurious comfy apartment in the heart of the delightful small town. Fully equipped with everything youll need. Never any trouble parking directly opposite the property, though it was outside of peak period. My only complaint is local takeaways not staying open long enough. ”

“Great hotel if cycling C2C, as they serve breakfast from 4am. Cycles allowed in rooms too. Very clean, although my bathroom was very small and fitted with a movement light, which meant it going dark whilst in the shower”

“He been to the BGL twice in the last month and have enjoyed both stays. First hotel I’ve been to that has no reception or staff in general, with keys and information left on a table on the way in. No matter though, I’m there to sleep and shower and that’s about it! It’s situated right on the beach which gives you the most incredible view out of the window and it’s close to local pubs and a few other conveniences. More importantly, it’s in an amazing place to head in to Wasdale - other than...
