“We love Canal Park Lodge, we were surprised that for the breakfast you had to give your name and room number and that they did not allow you to help yourself to breakfast. The eggs and sausage were rationed out. Aside from the breakfast, the hotel was good! ”

“Best location! We got to see a ship pull in at night right from our room! Breakfast was ok but I’d love vegetarian options. Hard boiled eggs were overcooked but the omelets were good. We think they mixed up the signs on the coffee as we think we got decaf by mistake. We had reserved a ground floor room but got a third floor room. No reason given.”

“We really enjoyed our first time stay at Pier B! We used the pool, hot tub, restaurant for breakfast and fitness area. All were in great condition as were the rooms. Breakfast was delicious and staff was friendly. We would definitely stay there again! The only way it could have been remotely better was to have spa robes in the rooms for a truly “resort” feel when going to the aquatics areas.”

“Well maintained property but my biggest issue was parking. This property doesn’t have its own parking lot. Paid parking is either in a city owned lot across the street or a city perking ramp (uphill, but less expensive) ) a couple of blocks away.”

“A unique property to stay. The room was large with a comfortable bed and sitting area. Bathroom was newly renovated, loved the shower! Parking was confusing at first but once we figured out the parkade it was fine. Restaurants, shops and bars all located in the Fitgers property. Would love to stay again for a longer visit.”

“Super cute boutique look, loved the black out blinds…slept til 9 thinking it was 6! Very nice Nespresso coffee machine. My only small suggestion for room 10 is more hooks for towels and coats, and maybe a makeup mirror/light (bathroom is a bit dark to apply makeup).”

“The room was cozy and the bed comfortable. Close to everything in Canal Park and the lake walk is great to explore finding sea glass. Staff are very accommodating. We were very excited that they accept pets. Would stay AGAIN.”

“Beautiful views of the lake. Close to walking. Unfortunately when we checked in for our kids spring break the hotel told us their pool/hot tub/sauna was closed. Being out of town and our kids really looked forward to swimming was the majority of our plans. Along with booking here for their sauna, the only hotel I could find in Duluth with one. Their discounted our stay, but overall was disappointed. Had two find two different evenings of plans for our family. Will definitely call hotel directly...

“The hot tub was too full of children to use. The window glass in our room was so cloudy you could barely see outside. The elevators were out of order, although we weren’t aware and waited 15 minutes, then had to take the stairs down five flights while carrying our luggage.”

“Breakfast was okay, we had to ask multiple times for things, the hot tub and pool were great but the sauna barely worked, across the street parking was fine, stayed 2 nights first night staff was not good, second night staff was very nice and actually helped us. Will not be back.”
