“The hotel is a little bit further a out of than we thought. It overlooked the ferry port. We enjoyed watching the ferries (we are old). The hotel food was excellent and reasonably priced, compared to the town. At weekend you needto book in the town. The breakfast was good. The staff were lovely. We stayed a week,so they got to know us. We'll be back. On a another note, we are thinking of moving to Shetland.”

“Good location. Room was small with old furniture but clean. Dining room/restaurant was dusty: tables and floors were clean but evidence that corners, blinds, and deep cleaning does not happen often. Food options were quite good. Breakfast was good and well-served.”

“Location is wonderful, a few easy steps to Commercial Street, harbor, etc. The property is old and very much in need of refurbishment. There is evidence that the management is working to that end. Restaurant was closed, which is challenging if staying on the weekend because there are literally only a handful of places to eat on a Sunday and reservations are hard to come by. I stayed 2 nights and there was no housekeeping available unless requested. The front desk is not manned 24/7 but mobile...
