As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. “I cannot say enough good things about Le Fevre Inn. Not only was it quiet, quaint, and welcoming, the staff were amazing. “Extremely clean room, lovely staff, and the pub being there was awesome. We were on the first floor and didn’t hear any noise from the pub. They put chocolate bags on the bed for V Day. Always have coffee and tea available and do teatime in the afternoons. Beautiful library in lobby as well. Highly recommend!”

“The one thing I will caution future guests about is breakfast. It’s one menu selection (there is no menu to choose from) for everyone every morning. So if you’re a picky eater or have lots of food sensitivities, this could be a real hassle. It is served in your room only, and delivery runs a bit on island time.
