“For a midweek night away or to be fair anytime away you can’t go wrong with Derby Manor. The rooms are excellent tidy and cleaned. The staff go over and above to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The breakfast caters for all dietary requirements so you will not go hungry. Would I go back again In. Heartbeat.”

“Hotel is in an excellent location. The outside swimming pool ,gate access to the beach, and the outside veranda were excellent amenities. Breakfast was very good, with a varied choice. For a 4 star hotel, the decor could have been a bit better. Our bedroom was quite small, extremely hot ( no air conditioning - just a fan ) and wasn't hoovered when we arrived. I appreciate it wasn't one of the upgraded front rooms with view of the water, but could have been much better for a 4 star hotel.”

“A lovely old grade 2 listed house. Excellent location for Poole Quay and harbour. Parking in visitor’s public car park just across the road. Overnight parking is very reasonable. David was a fabulous host with plenty of stories to tell and the house is full of interesting “stuff” that he has collected. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Our room on the second floor was very small and hot, but the others are bigger. Best to ask David before you book. Would definitely stay again.”

“We booked a hotel rather than a just an apartment or room as we were expecting a serviced hotel as a treat and paid accordingly. There is no reception, no bar and no catering other than at the neighbouring property, just a 4 digit number supposedly to open the front door and room, it didn’t allow access to the room, which caused some anxiety. Fortunately someone answered the out of hours emergency number and was able to give us another pass code. The room was not serviced, nor were the tea/...
