We were one hour outside of Syracuse when I texted the host to ask about keys and a lockbox. I got a text back that stated we were supposed to have been there five days previous. “Loved staying at this place! We came for a concert and soaking in the hot tub before and after was a game changer! The hosts had everything we needed and then some. The bed was comfy, everything felt clean and fresh. The decor is spot on! The only tiny criticism is that the water in the shower gets cold quickly and there was no gas in the fire pit (or it didn’t seem to work for us). If we ever need a place to stay in Syracuse, we will be back to The Simpatico!”

The stairs leading to the entrance had no handrails, which is a definite safety hazard, and they were also in need of repair.Upon entering, the home had a stale odor with a lingering smell of old cigarette smoke. The bathroom sink only had cold water, although the shower did provide hot water. The washcloths and towels appeared old and worn, and the freezer was not cold enough to freeze 8-ounce bottles of water.The property...

“Positive-the small apartment was clean. The apartment is in a decrepit house that should never be featured as a rental. Stairs up to the apartment are not to code. Garbage cans- overflowing. Not one of the nice Syracuse neighborhoods. I would have left affer a night but was too busy to find a hotel and change. Had to contact host re check in and he responded promptly. It’s fine to give details at 230 but let guest know in advance.”

“Don’t book this, you will regret it. I had to leave after 1 hour of being there. The room was disgusting and the bathtub looked like it had never been cleared. I could stomach staying there not a minute later! Save your money!”
