“Excellent Hotel, located right opposite the beach. Staff were extremely friendly and food was good, both at breakfast & dinner.

“The location is magnificent, this is such a stunning part of devon, and you walk out the door basically onto the beach! The room was beautiful, with colour and texture and charm. the only slight against it was the only parking is the public carpark nextdoor so about £10 per day, but thats not much of a gripe in the scheme of things and they were super dog friendly. I'd stay again in a heartbeat. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at Stoke Lodge, having visited on and off over a long period of time, the new owners have made a comfy, friendly and relaxing hotel. The food was delicious and they happily adapted to special dietary requirements.

“We had a lovely relaxing stay and had plenty of time to enjoy the nice pool.
The bed was large and very comfortable so slept well. We didn’t eat at the restaurant as it wasn’t overly tempting for a vegetarian.

“This hotel is wonderful. Rooms are beautifully decorated with everything you could need. Comfortable bed and plenty of space. We had an evening meal which was probably the best meal ever!! Breakfast was equally good. Abby who served us was a gem. Nothing but praise. Would recommend and stay again. ”

“Lovely seaside retreat, perfect location and welcoming hosts. Breakfast was great and easy walking distance to the harbour.
We had a harbour view room and the sunshine came through lovely late afternoon to enjoy whilst getting ready for the evening.

Special shout out to Olivia who did a tremendous job at breakfast, the dining room was packed with guests and it overflowed into the lounge bar too! They were working with skeleton staff and everyone came down to eat at the same time, however, she did a fantastic job … well done Olivia!”
