La pulizia lascia un po' a desiderare purtroppo e l'aria nelle camerate era gelida dalla mattina fino a sera, per il resto ottimo modo per conoscere persone nuove ed essere comodi al centro senza spendere troppo.

Staff were helpful, facilities clean, friendly air about it. Was as expected very small but liveable, I enjoyed the night, might get wearing after a while. Internal fan was noisy but you can turn it off. Very convenient location right next to a tube station, Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown. Take a long lock with you. Worth the money.

1. There were too many big suitcases in the room, leaving too few space to walk. 2. The cocoons were noisy, you could easily hear other people talk or bump their heads or moving a suitcase. 3. The cocoons were too hot and there was no way to regulate temperature 4. There was no cold water in the bathrooms, only very hot and half hot, half cold water. So if you want to fill up a bottle with water or take cold water for taking in medication you have to use half warm water which is very unpleasant. 5. The showers point too far in the shower rooms, making clothes and towels wet during the shower. There is no way to point the shower yourself. Apart from that, you have to tap the shower button every 5 seconds which is annoying. Make it 15 or 30 seconds. I get the idea of sustainability, but this is very unfriendly for guests and annoying even. 6. There was no space to store luggage in the hotel. I was referred to the Zedwell Hotel nearby at Piccadilly Circus but they tried to charge me £15 for storing my luggage. What a delusion and disappointment for storing your luggage for only a few hours! 7. I received a WhatsApp message of a phone number from India. The woman named “Anna” used a number belonging to a company named “CountryRoof”. It appeared to be a scam. I informed the staff about it, they told me not to respond to it. It was a day later, on my second day of stay, that I received an email that it was a scam. I don’t have trust in Zedwell anymore since my name, cellphone

The capsule concept is great, I’ve use it many times in Japan. But it still need some refinements. I tried Zedwell hotel in July and December and the air conditioning in the box was too warm. A space is also missing for a cabin luggage (in the box or in a locker). In the bathroom, the design can also be improved. There is no space for a wash bag around the sinks (the only place is under the hand dryer!). This is a new hotel and many showers and toilets are already broken. I hope the hope will update design to make it a great experience.

Overall, great stay if you are only staying for one night and it’s a solo trip. The location is convenient and the price is cheap. However, they do charge for almost everything. They charge for renting a lock and to rent a towel (£5), also charge for any check in and out amendment and luggage facility. So basically everything. There’s no Aircon there, but there’s an air filter. Which means you get purified air. But you do get very stuffy in there. It’s not the cleanest as it’s really dirty under the bed. Dusts, bits and bobs. Great day for the price and the location. But not ideal if you travel together with someone for more than one day.

Very affordable but facing some teething issues. The place felt a bit hard to navigate- the lobby felt pretty hidden away and the lifts seemed to never arrive. The lock on my capsule didn’t work either so I had to bring my luggage with me. For the price it’s hard to beat though, and definitely something I’d consider doing again.

Great location. Low cost. It's an odd experience. Fine for one night. Wouldn't want to stay longer. I know it's intentionally very basic, but not being given a towel seemed to be taking that minimalist approach a bit too far.

Was like entering a building site. The hall ways were very dark and intimidating The WhatsApp communications were just robot answers and couldn't easily help. The capsule lock didn't work so had to ask at reception who could only fit the outside and was shocked that a lone female would want a lock internally. After pushing I got a new capsule which locked. Unfortunately maintenance turned up at 8.30 which woke me up. The bathrooms were often dirty with blocked sinks. There was no drinking water. Not really impressed but a great location

This was an interesting experience! I've long thought that capsule hotels would work in London and other UK cities - and airports! I stayed one night for work and knew what to expect so I was quite comfortable. The capsule was clean and as I'm quite short (perfect size, in fact) I could kneel and move around happily. At first I thought the fan a bit noisy, but it drowned out background noise of people moving about. The women's floor was quiet and everyone was very considerate, keeping shoes neatly to the side and not making noise. The showers were like campsite showers which invariably spray into the changing area, but having seen this before I knew to put my dry things close to the partition. Next time, I will bring a padlock - or at least know I can get one from the vending machine. Also shower slippers (also vending machine).

I hadn't appreciated from the listing what the hotel would be like (very compact capsules with communal bathrooms and toilets). I found it hard to sleep due to noise and the feeling of the place. There are a huge number of people in quite a small area. I was also worried on checking out that a fire exit was blocked by a step ladder.

I had no idea this was just a pod when I made the booking. I thought it was the actual Zedwell hotel around the corner. Nothing to say it was a shared bathroom/toilet etc beforehand. Absolutely red hot inside the pod. I think I’d have preferred to have slept in a draw in a morgue, at least the temperature would’ve been ok, and those above you would at least have been quiet. Mixed dorms too so, women beware, as you’ll be sharing with hairy arsed blokes. Cheap but never ever again.
