I arrived at 8:02PM and the gate was closed. Fortunately one side was open so I went through there. Account for the windy and steep roads. Also, the rain. “For foreigners, you have to go 20 minutes down a rock road which runs along the lake. Plenty of options for restaurants along the way. Fairly easy to locate, I would stress that you do not attempt to drive to or from here at night because of the road. The restaurant/bar on site had great food and I ate here each night. Decent alcohol selection. The views are the lake make it worth staying and only a hour or less out from major sites, I used it as my home base. Staff were fantastic ”

“The hosts were very nice, and the property is well maintained. The room was well decorated, clean, and we had access to the kitchen. Lily, the dog, was very sweet too. ”

“The location is not in downtown, so you’ll need to take Bus or car to get to Juayúa. It is a beautiful spot with many trees and a nice building. No AC. Our room had a strange odor, maybe an insecticide applied to the sofa? No screen on window, otherwise would’ve been a pleasant breeze as the evening air is wonderfully refreshing.”
