“The staff at the Alder is above and beyond! Roomy rooms. One pointer. Ask for a room that doesn’t face front. There is a home full of roosters across the street and you get woken up at 5 a.m. or better yet bring a sound machine!”

“Very cute hotel but there was no elevator, the a/c unit was noisy and parking was difficult. I know the climate was the cause but there were many gnats in the room and lobby:bar.”

“The property is in a great location! The trolley stop is right out front, and Magazine St. is a short walk (a few blocks). There are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast is more of a coffee and bagel stop. Although there were hard boiled eggs and yogurt available, I wouldn't call this a buffet under any circumstances. For the money we could have stayed at many other high end places-the staff was excellent. Not sure I’d make a special point to return but no major complaints.”
