The man that owns the place was born and raised in an animal loving family and his respect and love for the animals show through his interactions and knowledge. You can schedule a behind the scenes tour of the zoo if you call ahead. During this tour I was able to pet a porcupine, feeds goats, feed bananas to a lemur, and feed the tiger pictured. We stayed in this house over the new year and had a fantastic time. The house is huge and nicely stocked. Views are fantastic! Lots to do. Some small issues with things not working but nothing imperative. Communication with the host was quick and efficient. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was perfect for our family to get away for a few days. Everyone loved the hot tub and views of the mountains. The host was available and helpful. The location was great, close to the town of Luray and Stanley.

Amazing views!!!

Wow!!! What a great property! This house was exactly what we were looking for in Luray mountain views in a quiet, relaxing setting. The space inside the house was pretty awesome as well. Plenty of room for the kiddos to spread out enjoy themselves. The yard was perfect for the dog to run and play as well as for the kids to enjoy themselves. Hot tub water level was low when we arrovwd but communication with David was easy. He had his maintenance guy correct it right away. Firepit and hot tub are perfectly placed to take advantage of the mountain views we were looking for. Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise from those views! Fireplace in livong room was not working and although David and his maintenance guy were very responsive they were unable to fix it. Overall, pleasure to work with David and the house/property are excellent accomodations if visiting Luray.

Lovely home and perfect for our family. Great communication with the owner. Our only disappointment was the fireplace was not working and David tried to get someone out to fix it but it was a Saturday and no one was available. We appreciated that he tried! Loved that it was dog friendly!!

Perfect getaway

Fantastic house on an even more fantastic property. This was the perfect gateway for my friends and I who were looking to spend a few nights out of the city. Very close to some amazing hiking and the beautiful tone of Luray. Sitting in the hot tub and looking up at the stars was a can’t miss activity. Would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful views

We loved our stay at this large comfortable home with gorgeous views of the neighboring hills and farms. The house has plenty of room for extended family to spread out. The beds were all very comfortable and we had everything we needed including equipment for the baby. The game room was amazing and kept our grandkids happy when it was raining. A great place to base your Shenandoah exploration.

The house was beautiful and cozy. Loved the views and land. We really enjoyed the game room as well which was a lot of fun! The host had great communication, it was everything we needed. It was also a great location for going to Luray caverns and Shenandoah national park!!

Joyful views

If you’re looking to get away from life’s craziness and relax, this is your place! The house is spacious and well layout with tons of outdoor and indoor amenities like fire pit, boardgames, ping pong and more! My 4 year old and the teenager loved the variety. I was pleasantly impressed by the sound machines in every room which was great for my kids. Additionally, it was close to Shenandoah National park and the Luray caverns. The Mountain View’s are spectacular and even found a kid friendly winery a mile away. Recommend 100%

Great Home

Great place to vacation. Everything was better than described and the house is well stocked in a beautiful location. We loved sitting outside watching the sunrise and seeing the stars at night. Great communication from the host as well. A+ stay. THANK YOU!!

Stunning views

This property exceeded expectations. There was plenty of room for our large group to spread out. Our dogs were welcomed and also enjoyed the family get away. Every room offered amazing views. Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park were both nearby. If you enjoy dining out or take out for dinner, options were somewhat limited, but I suppose this is to be expected in a rural setting.

Great location to the park

This house is in the perfect location to visit the Shenandoah national Park. It is 20 mins from the gate and it's centrally located. The views are breathtaking. The host responds to requests right away and checks in with you throughout your stay.

Perfect stay, you’ll never tire of the views while enjoying this beautiful home. It’s spacious, has everything you need and more. The pictures don’t do it justice. Great stay in VA

An immaculate house with great space inside and out. Location close to Shenandoah was our goal, but the house was the cherry on top. Easy check in, great communication from the owners, and a clean, well appointed environment. The game room was a hit with the entire family as well. Would highly recommend and stay again!
