“The house and farm are just beautiful. We spent nearly the entire stay on the screened porch listening to the birds, watching the horses, goats, and chickens and enjoying the quiet serenity of the country. Our hosts could not have been more gracious and welcoming. We wondered around the property and soaked up the country, ate some amazing farm raised eggs, and made several excursions to nearby Monticello, antique shops, UVA, and 1799 at the Clifton for dinner. “We had an amazing vacation here at Sutton’s Roost. Home was terrific for us and our kids. Tons of room, well stocked kitchen, hot tub and sauna to calm our aching muscles after hiking all over the place. Upper back porch to relax and eat and watch the stars. “A great place, very clean and so well equipped, especially the kitchen. The beds are comfortable and have duvets with covers. Cozy! It was great to have a bathroom for each bedroom plus a half bath on the first floor. The house is in a good location, an easy walk to ‘downtown’ with good restaurants and interesting stores. Staunton is a nice town and good location to explore the Shenandoah Park. ”

“We loved our stay in this adorable cottage. It was very clean, comfortably furnished, had everything we needed and was in a great location. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch each morning looking towards to park. We would definitely stay there again! ”

“we visited Waynesboro to see my brother and sister-in-law after their recent move from the Northeast. The house was extremely welcoming and very clean. The first floor bedroom was a perfect fit for my 97 year old father. The beds were comfortable and the table was large enough for a family meal. Backyard was also a bonus! Great spot and close to all activities.”

“A beautiful home in a lovely country setting. Very comfortable and well equipped. Everything we needed was there. Communication with the owner was great! Our granddaughter loved the cows! And the market across the road has wonderful ice cream and cheeses! Easy access to Lexington. Would definitely stay here again. ”
