“The host greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming and friendly; assuring us that if we needed anything further to let her know.
It was very well equipped: fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster, not forgetting a jug of fresh milk.
Would definitely stay here again.”

“The room was clean and very compact, it lacked appeal but had most of the amenities you would want at this price. There is no interaction with staff at all as self check in, the heating wasn’t on although the radiator in the hall was hot, one curtain hardly covered the window, my room,2, was at the front of the property so people leaving the pub were talking loudly at 11.30/12pm and then again at 1am which woke me up, the shower was good, the wash basin so tiny you couldn’t get the tiny kettle...

“The bathroom had mold. The ceiling tiles are broken. The room really needs a refurb.
The main door is broken and sometimes doesn't open or opens very slowly. I've stayed at much better maintained premier inns in the past so this was a huge disappointment.”

“Excellent staff, beautiful building and decor, everything was very clean and well maintained - our room was absolutely wonderful! We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were delicious!
Service in the bar was super friendly and the cocktails were very tasty!
The only thing I would say is that the soundproofing between our room and the bar wasn’t great, so we could hear everything. It didn’t bother us at all as we had earplugs, and it quietened down from about 10:30pm.

“Very nice building, in a central position. You can easily walk to all the destinations in Wrexham and/or easily get to the train station and bus station. “Lovely pub, friendly staff. We only stayed 1 night but the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed.
The breakfast was cooked beautifully and really tasty. We would have had diner there but unfortunately it was the Christmas market on within Tarvin that evening so no food was served other than a stall outside. Free parking for people staying in the pub.
Within a 15 min drive into Chester - Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. An enjoyable if not brief visit. ”
