“The room was clean and spacious. The staff were extremely helpful, even though we couldn't get the T.V. to work, (we are not at all technical). Big bonus being dog friendly. The free breakfast was really nice with waffles, sausages, eggs, muffins and yogurt. And we had an upgrade to a king size bed! We will definately recoment THe Waddling Dog, and we will be back!”

We had a balcony facing the water amazing view and sunrise. There were some plantings and grass on the grounds so it wasn't all concrete or ashphalt . There has been an effort to keep it beautiful, small, friendly and manageable. idk how long the site can stay like this but I LOVED it. So much better than a gargantuan chain hotel. “We loved our short stay at Bayview B&B! Juliette was communicative leading up to check-in, and we really enjoyed visiting with her during breakfast. She is a fantastic cook! Already looking forward to planning a longer stay here.”

“Very accommodating to early check in request. A very cosy little cottage just a tiny bit on the small side. Two suitcases - not a lot of space to have them both open. Very clean, great area - peaceful and beautiful grounds - views were lovely. Would def stay there again if in Victoria. Was not able to take advantage of the breakfast unfortunately, but the menu looked delicious!”

“Staff were so helpful and accommodating. The property had so much charm and very inviting. The bed was comfortable. Had everything I needed. The soaps and coffees were local and added a nice touch.”

“Pictures on website did not match reality. Motel room had been updated in the cheapest way possible. Example door knob of closet was stuck on and came off the door when I opened the it. Toilet paper holder was stuck on the side of a cabinet. Outside looked run down and most people appeared to be permanent residents.”

“As an older property, I was a little worried pulling up that the outside had been freshened up but the rooms wouldn’t be well-maintained. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a mix of the basics, with the coffee machine being the shining star for a large variety of selections. The quality of the room and bed were great and updated bathrooms were a pleasant surprise. Would definitely stay here again.”

“I stayed at Hotel Zed with a friend for a girls trip and it was awesome. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. They let us check in early, which was so helpful since we were on an early flight. The ability to text message the lobby was so convenient and they were always super responsive. We were reluctant to stay at a hotel outside of downtown but the location was super easy to navigate to a cool restaurant or the wharf with a quick Uber ride. Thank you Hotel Zed!!!”
