Hotel a Matawan

“The room I was given was supposed to be for two people (king size bed) but it was so small I could not even set my luggage on the appropriate stand because there was no space to open it! Breakfast was limited in food selection and quality and some of the staff were not that friendly. ”

“Smelled awful, even looked dirty to the point that I didn’t want to even walk barefoot”

“I want to start by saying the young woman at the desk was lovely and eager to do whatever she could to make the stay good. The property, however, is a total ZERO. Smoking everywhere. Lobby with no furniture in it. I went out on the porch to work - smoking there as well. can see where young people who only want to be near the beach could tolerate this - but with absolutely zero amenities - including empty vending machines, sloppy painting, moldy ceilings and ZERO accessibility. Oh my! Not sure...

“The room felt damn even though the AC was working fine. Walking barefoot on the carpet felt gross and damp. The lobby was humid and AC clearly didn't work well. There were portable units all over the place. Lobby furniture was tattered. It took way too long to check in for no good reason. The tap to pay wasn't working at the front desk. Hotel was depressing.”

“Not well maintained. Scanty supplies in the room such as coffee packet. Difficult to find the entrance in to the property”

“The rooms are clean, but when I walked in the room had a funky smell. Thankfully the AC worked and circulated most of it out. The sink also had sewer gas smell coming out of it, which never went away. Overall not a good place to rest your head be gone.”

“Didn't get to use any amenities, we just stayed for a night's sleep, bit noisy outside as your next to a highway and breakfast was on the cheaper lower end frills but for the price you could not beat it. Very cozy bed and updated bathroom with good running water shower stall. Front desk was very accommodating and even able to provide a sewing kit as my button fell off the wedding suit.”

“No coffee in the room Coffee bar was supposed to be open 24 hr, however no one was available at 8:30 am The person at the reception desk pretending not to see us , so after waiting for about 20 min we decided to leave”
