“This was such a cute place to stay! Even though there’s no front desk, two staff members were there to greet and assist us when we arrived. The air conditioning in our original room wasn’t working, and while it took a few steps and about a 15-minute call to get it sorted, they were able to move us to a new room. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. There’s also a beautiful restaurant right at the entrance—it looked amazing, though we didn’t have time to...

“A beautiful place and great service”

“ Came to stay here due to location near Shadyside hopsital, where I had surgery the next day. What a beautiful property. Friendly staff, especially our bartender. She was young, but easy to talk to and had knowledge beyond her years. We didnt eat here, so can not attest to that. Beds were confortable. Rooms very large and the interior was like a european hotel. Dark woods with Great history. ”

“Very clean and it appears there are activities in the evening but we were off with local family members. My husband loved the breakfast and I loved the coffee (I’m not a breakfast person). We had a little kitchen nook which we did not use but would have loved it at other places we’ve stayed (again local family in vicinity). I also loved that we did not want or require e.g., tiny shampoos and daily cleaning when we only slept and showered.I am going to reiterate, it was very clean. ”

“Average hotel for the price, however confortable, good bed. The hotel is along a road and there is no side walk, even to get to next restaurant half mile away you need to drive. The kitchen was without any equipment, not even a fork let alone pans however I could get a couple of things from the desk (very polite people)”

“Loved that it was pet-friendly but there isn’t a lot of green space nearby. No ice machines but the desk staff were always courteous about filling ice bags. 40th street traffic can be loud but the hotel is so conveniently located to lots of walkable shops and restaurants. ”

“We were in town for a show and PPG is across the street. Perfect spot. Prior to the show, the hotel had drinks, hamburgers and hotdogs on the patio (for a fee). I’m not a beef hotdog fancy but these were delicious. I think a local brand. Nice room, quiet considering we were all there for a concert. No complaints! ”

“I had to wait nearly an hour for an upgraded room which I hadn’t requested. When the desk clerk explained, I asked for a standard room which was ready. She was very polite and helpful. I REALLY dislike the half-door shower enclosure! Not only does one side of the body stay cold while the other is warm, but the soap & shampoo is at the cold end of the space. Refrigerator ice maker didn’t work. I really appreciated the breakfasts and the Wednesday evening glass of wine. ”
