Escape to Olinda Birch, an enchanting woodland retreat nestled within 3.25 acres of established gardens in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges. With soaring timber ceilings, rustic brick and natural stonework, a cosy wood fire, and magnificent garden views, this self-contained suite offers a warm, romantic setting for a peaceful escape.

THE SPACE
Unwind in the double spa bath, curl up beside the fire, or step onto your private outdoor deck to enjoy the tranquillity of the surrounding azaleas, birch trees, oak trees, and forest. Although wonderfully secluded, the suite is only two minutes from the charming villages of Olinda and Sassafras.

From the moment you enter through the garden gate, Olinda Birch invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature. The character-filled interior features a tall raked timber ceiling, exposed brick and stone details, and large windows that bring the garden's beauty into the suite.

A comfortable queen-size bed is prepared with fresh linen and towels. The ensuite features a luxurious double spa bath where you can relax after exploring the nearby villages, gardens, and walking trails. The wood-fired potbelly heater creates a cosy atmosphere on cooler evenings, and the Smart TV and complimentary Wi-Fi allow you to settle in with your favourite movie.

The kitchenette contains a fridge, microwave, stovetop, toaster, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, glassware, crockery and cutlery. A dining table provides a comfortable place to enjoy breakfast or a quiet meal overlooking the garden.

Outside, your private deck has an outdoor setting exclusively for your use. It is a beautiful place to enjoy your morning coffee, listen to the birds or take in the peaceful woodland surroundings.

The property is located approximately 55 minutes from Melbourne's CBD and only a two-minute drive from Olinda and Sassafras villages. National parks, renowned gardens, walking trails and many of the Dandenong Ranges' best-known attractions are also close by.

Guests are welcome to explore the property's tranquil 90-year-old garden and forest. A private 250-metre walking track winds through the grounds, where an enchanting creek flows among the trees just a short stroll from the suite.

You will have exclusive access to your self-contained suite, ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and private outdoor deck.

We provide a selection of tea, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, linen, and towels for your stay. These are supplied as starter quantities and may not last for longer reservations.

The suite includes a wood-fired potbelly heater; however, firewood and kindling are not provided. Guests wishing to use the fireplace must bring their own supplies, which they can purchase from local supermarkets or petrol stations on the way to the property.

Olinda Birch forms part of a larger property with several guest suites. Each suite is completely self-contained and has its own private entrance, bathroom and kitchenette.

The owners lovingly maintain the gardens, and they are continually evolving. Due to the lush natural environment of the Dandenong Ranges, gardening and landscaping are ongoing, and some areas may occasionally be a work in progress. This is all part of caring for such a large and beautiful woodland property.

This suite is part of a larger property with several separate suites available for guests. Each suite has its own private entrance, kitchenette, and bathroom, so you can enjoy your own space while staying within the broader property.

The property is surrounded by established natural gardens and native forest. As the gardens are personally maintained, they are continually evolving and may be a little rustic in places. We love caring for the grounds, but the lush environment of the Dandenong Ranges means there is always something growing!

Children are welcome. However, please be aware that the property is surrounded by forest and natural terrain, so children should be supervised while exploring the gardens and outdoor areas.

The home has CCTV cameras at the front, but we don't review them unless there is an issue.
