“Motel 6 in Marshalltown, Iowa was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. When you arrive, there is no staffed front desk. Instead, you’re greeted by security cameras and a sign telling you to call the front desk number. A man answered with “What do you want?” instead of anything remotely welcoming. After standing in a hot, non-air-conditioned lobby for about five minutes, he drove up from another location and checked us in. The room itself was barely acceptable. There were...
