“Excellent cabin with an amazing, romantic gas fireplace. The entire facility is beautiful and the ample welcome gift was truly a surprise. Though this property is a bit pricey, a one night stay there was well worth it for our overnight stay in Cradle Mt National Park. Wish I had time to use the spa after a long day of hiking. Highly recommend this property. ”

“We booked one night in the lodge. The instructions for check in were easy to follow and our room and the communal areas (kitchen and bathrooms) were very clean and presentable. The lodge is right right next to the restaurant and Altho we did not eat there, the food smelt delicious.”

“Rathmore was everything we had hoped for a tranquil weekend escape. We stayed in the Shearer’s Quarters, separate from the main homestead and very private, with delicious meals delivered by Cally - the lamb ragu was a favourite, highly recommended. Both hosts, Richard and Cally, encouraged us to wander the historic property, which felt a little like stepping back in time to a more peaceful era. We even saw one of the dam’s resident platypus! “Basic things that were neglected or done poorly 1) no pre check in email was received resulting in us being stuck outside the property as we were not informed of the access code to gain entry into the property. Imagine being caught in a situation when you had 4 cars backed up behind you and you couldn’t get in - enough said 2) no air conditioning in the rooms and the windows can’t be open.
